Pediatric Care (Shonishin)
Needle-Free Pediatric Care That Feels Safe and Comforting
Using traditional Japanese Shonishin techniques, we gently stimulate the body without needles. Each session is designed to feel calm, safe, and supportive.
What is Pediatric Acupuncture Therapy?
Pediatric acupuncture is adapted specifically for infants and children, focusing on gentle stimulation rather than traditional needling.
Shonishin is a traditional Japanese pediatric technique designed to support infants and children without the use of needles. Using small, specialized tools, the practitioner gently stimulates the surface of the skin through light tapping, brushing, or stroking. This helps regulate the nervous system and support healthy development.
The treatment is calming, non-invasive, and well suited for children who may be sensitive or easily overstimulated. It is commonly used to support sleep, digestion, immune function, and emotional regulation.
Sessions are designed to feel safe and comforting—more like a nurturing interaction than a medical treatment. Treatments are brief and comfortable, and many parents notice improvements in sleep, mood, and overall resilience with consistent care.
Our goal is simple: to support your child’s health in a way that feels natural, respectful, and stress-free—for both child and parent.
